I'm sometimes shocked by the passage of time. I can't believe that it's been a whole year since I started blogging. The time has gone by in a complete blur, and was full of some surprises. This time last year, I was looking forward to training for, and running a half Marathon. Chris was working at his Dal job, hoping to find something new and better.
Instead, the year brought me running a full marathon. I am looking forward to running my second one this coming May. Chris ended up quitting his job entirely and going back to school full time. Both of these things were big deals in our lives in 2007, and both have brought many good things to us. Both were completely unexpected when the year began.
I have absolutely no idea what 2008 has in store. One thing that last year taught me is that you can sometimes think you know what path your life is on, and then a few surprises can take you in a totally different direction. I look forward to the coming year with curiosity and anticipation. I will do my best to take my life in good directions and be the best person that I can be. Yeah, I'll probably make some mistakes along the way; I've got no delusions of perfection going on, that's for sure. But hopefully when I do screw up from time to time I'll be able to learn from those mistakes. After all, that's one of the points of life, right?
